Hello!!! My name is Gary! I am the Owner and Operator of Gary’s Mobile Windshield Repair. I have been in the Auto Glass Business since 1997. Windshield Repair is the process in which a “Rock Chip” is repaired using a formulated Resin to fill the void created by the rock impact. In most cases the impact point is able to be repaired to about 80 to 85% completion. Often times all that is noticeable is a small area of distortion, similar to a “Bug Splat”. What the repair does is seal the chip, preventing moisture from getting in and causing the windshield to crack. In most cases the repair is 95%+ successful, therefore saving the cost of having to REPLACE the windshield. By repairing the chip as soon after it happens makes for a better repair. This process takes about 20 minutes to complete. “Why replace it, when you can repair it!”
